Type E V-rings feature a straight back that serves as an unpressurized axial rod seal with a very small mounting length and is fixed to the shaft. The flexible lip seals an opposing face at a right angle to the axis preventing dirt, dust and splashes from entering the construction. The V-Ring V-E is designed for heavy use and is applied in situations where larger axial tolerances are required.
Commonly used as side seals and in rolling mills to exclude dirt and water, the V-Ring V-E styles can be stretched up to 2.5 times their original diameter. This profile is available for axles ranging from Ø450 to Ø2010 mm.
